Second son and fourth child of Isaac and Mary Barker Stearns

Isaac Stearns (2) b. 6 Jan 1632 Watertown, Massachusetts became a freeman in 1665, d. 2 Aug1676; m. 24 Jun1660 Sarah Beers, d. 24 Jan 1723/24 dgtr of Capt Richard and Elizabeth Beers, and settled in Cambridge Farms, (Lexington)Massachusetts. Sarah, his widow, m2) 23 July 1677, Thomas Wheeler of Concord

1. Sarah Stearns, b. 14 Jan 1662 in Cambridge, Massachusetts; m. John Wheeler

 2. Mary Stearns, b. 8 Oct 1663 in Watertown, Massachusetts; m. John Cutler

 3. Deacon Isaac Stearns, b. 20 Aug 1665 in Cambridge, Massachusetts; m. Elizabeth Stone

4. Samuel Stearns, b. 11 Jan 1668 in Concord, Massachusetts; m. Phebe Waite

5. Abigail Stearns, b. 1671 in Watertown, Massachusetts; m. Samuel Harwell

6. John Stearns   b. 1675 in Watertown, Massachusetts; m. MercyDavis


A Writing in the files of the Court, dated June 19, 1677, says he left three sons and three daughters. His estate inventoried at 300 pounds. Children: Sarah, Mary, Isaac,  Samuel,  Abigail and “John”

 Sarah’s father, Captain Richard Beers was one of the original proprietors ofWatertown, commanded a company in King Philip’s War and was killed in a battle with the Indians at Northfield, Massachusetts, 4 Sept 1675. (10)
